Arrive Beijing. Meet and transfer to the hotel.

| Day 3, Wed: Beijing/Urumqi Meals (B,L,D) |
Fly to Urumqi. Your flight will fly over the world's two largest deserts, valleys and canyons. Afternoon sightseeing: Nansha Grassland, visit the minority families of Kazakstanian, Uzbekistanian and Kyrgyzatanian. Visit their yurts and sample the milk tea and snacks.

| Full-day sightseeing: Drive 120 km northeast to Heavenly Lake. Cruise on the lake and drive around the lake by golf cart. Visit the Provincial Museum (2000 years mummies), the Red Hill Park and the Bazaar. |

| Day 5, Fri: Urumqi/Turpan Meals (B,L,D) |
Drive to Turpan. Turpan is an Uighur town set in a large oasis surrounded by desert and dry mountains. Full-day sightseeing: the mysterious death city-the ruins of Jiaohe, Ancient Karez - the underground water supply & irrigation system and its Museum and the grape valley.

Morning sightseeing: Sugong Pagoda, the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Grottoes, lunch with a local family. Return to Urumqi and fly to Kashigar.

| Full-day sightseeing: Witness the Sunday Morning Moslems Pray at the open square, the Sunday Bazaar, which is the largest outdoor market in the Mid-Asia, the tombs of Fragrant Concubine and the Old Town of Kashigar. |

Fly to Dunhuang. Afternoon sightseeing: Mogao Grottos (wonder of the world), the grottoes, also known as Caves of the Thousands Buddha, preserve nearly a thousand years of Buddhist cave-temple architecture, clay sculpture, mural paintings, and manuscripts, dating from the 5th to 14th centuries. Over 426 caves are very enormous in size and contain numberless clay sculptures and more than 45,000 square meters of mural paintings, all are national treasures.

| Full-day sightseeing: Two hours drive across the desert to Yumen Guan (the west terminal of the Great Wall built in Han Dynasty 2,100 years ago), the Moon Lake & Sander Sand by riding camels to view the sunset. |

Fly to Xian. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing: Big Wild Goose Pagoda & the Bell Tower.
